"As Modern as Today"

It's 2004. "Retro" is an over used word. Sundae Club is not retro for retro's sake. (You see, I've used "retro" three times in this paragraph alone)
Four now. Up to the minute recording and production techniques are perfectly suited to the Sundae Club Sound; we make use of Pro-Tools and we have been known to use the odd sample here and there. In fact we ensure that compared to Sundae Club, "Retro" looks positively Brand New.
So that's five then.

"Technostalgia"

Sundae Club refuses to be pigeonholed. Whilst some tracks (Stuff, Pearloid No.5, Constant Raincheck) could loosely be classed as "Chill-Out" others defy categorisation. To avoid confusion, we coined the term "Technostalgia" which can be applied equally well to the music and most of the instruments used to play it. We were once so insulted by a well-meaning listener's description of Sundae Club as "Lo-Fi" that we traded our Technics SL1210s, the robust but crap sounding decks used by most bands and DJs for a pair of Linn LP12s, the highest-fi decks on the market. We employ a full time technician to keep them sounding perfect. We care about what you hear.
